Lots of new faces on my blog! Let's get acquainted. My name is Marina, and I come from Dnipro, in the heart of Ukraine. My life was stable and predictable: two university degrees, a job as an auditor, and confidence about tomorrow. But as the saying goes, “Hard times create strong people, strong people create good times, and good times create weak people who, in turn, create hard times.” The start of the full-scale war in Ukraine was the ordeal that made me rethink everything. Moving to Spain with my young son was a challenge, but also a turning point for growth. Here, far from home, I exchanged my business suit for a chef's jacket and found my true passion. Working in a Spanish café taught me a lot, but most importantly, it gave me the desire to go beyond a standard menu, create something bigger and unique, and share it with people. That's how Reina de Tapas, my “queen of appetizers,” was born. My philosophy is simple: every appetizer is a small work of art. I want not only to feed people but also to surprise them, delight them, and leave a vivid impression. I believe food is emotion, a way to connect and express love. Hard times taught me to believe in myself, keep moving forward, and find beauty even where it seems impossible. I make appetizers with love and soul because every moment deserves beauty and flavor.
